Job Summary
Under the direct supervision of the Assistant Controller, this position provides support to the Business Office. This position is responsible for greeting and assisting students/parents/visitors to the Business Office in such a manner so as to assure smooth flow of traffic and assist those visiting our area in the most efficient and expedient manner possible.

Job Duties (but not limited to):

  • Review monthly City of LaGrange utility report and prepare journal entry
  • Review monthly corporate credit card transactions and prepare journal entries
  • Process Tuition/Room deposit for incoming students, maintain spreadsheet and reports
  • Receive and process Accounts Receivable payments
  • Prepare daily deposits for Business Office and Alumni offices
  • Assist Director of Business Service & Finance with college owned rental property
  • Bill rental property residents for monthly utilities
  • Analyze liability accounts on monthly basis
  • All other duties as assigned in support of the effective and efficient operation of the Business Office

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and three (3) years of clerical, administrative, secretarial or office management experience. Or, the equivalent combination of experience, training and/or education as approved by Human Resources. Prior administrative experience in a college or university is preferred.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong computer skills with proficient knowledge of MS Word, Outlook, Excel. SCT Banner, Jenzabar J-One or equivalent ERP system knowledge desired.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organization and problem-solving skills with ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to communicate effectively with faculty, staff, students and all key members of the college and local community.
