LaGrange College seeks to fill a tenure-line appointment at the assistant or associate professor level beginning January 1, 2025, or as soon as possible thereafter.

The successful candidate must have a Doctorate in Education in curriculum, pedagogy, teacher leadership, or related area; documented accomplishments in educational research, preferably related to PK-12 teaching; experience teaching in P-12 classrooms; experience as an instructional and/or teacher-leader; and experience with data collection and analysis in an educational setting.

This individual will be a respected teacher leader who will serve as assessment director for the education department and teach courses in all programs offered (B.A., M.Ed., Ed.S., and Ed.D.) as appropriate to their field(s) of specialization. The Master of Education (M.Ed.), Education Specialist (Ed.S.), and Educational Doctorate (Ed.D.) in Curriculum and Instruction programs help classroom teachers improve their planning, instructional and assessment skills.

Applicants must have adequate quantitative and qualitative research skills to lead action research studies and assess professional development. Applicants should have an interest in/and knowledge of assessment data, including analysis and applications of data to enact change.  The successful candidate may also teach undergraduate courses in the Elementary Education and Education Studies programs as needed.
