TITLE:                                Offensive Line Coach (Full-time 10-month position)

Job Summary

Under the direct supervision of the Head Football Coach, the Offensive Line Coach is responsible for assisting in the organization, development, and leadership of a highly competitive Division III football program in support of the mission and core values of LaGrange College.

 

Job Duties (but not limited to):

  • Assist the Offensive Coordinator with coordinating all coaching assignments for the offensive staff including film breakdown, on field and all administrative responsibilities.
  • Works with the Offensive Coordinator with supervision of all offensive student-athletes in a coordinated and planned program of practices and competition, with a concern for the players’ health and welfare, physical and psychological preparation.
  • Foster and maintain positive student body and faculty relations with student-athletes.
  • Maintain current knowledge of and adhere to all College, NCAA and Conference Rules and Regulations, Policies and Procedures paying special attention to recruiting, eligibility, admissions and financial aid.
  • Assist with recruiting academically and athletically qualified student-athletes to meet the College’s admission standards and enrollment goals.
  • Performs other duties as required/assigned by the Head Football Coach.

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree along with coaching experience at the high school or collegiate level are required.
  • Experience competing at the collegiate level is preferred.
  • Minimum of 4 years of coaching experience preferred.
  • Previous recruiting experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to evaluate physical performance related to an inter-collegiate football program.
  • Ability to effectively communicate both within and outside the College including, but not limited to, student-athletes, parents, recruits, coaches, civic and business leaders.
  • Ability to work as a support individual within a group setting.
  • Ability to provide effective leadership to student-athletes to encourage both successful academic development and competitive performance.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule (i.e., evenings, weekends).
  • Current training in First-Aid and CPR.
