Description

LaGrange College seeks to fill a tenure-track appointment in art and graphic design at the rank of assistant professor beginning August 1, 2023.  We are especially looking for ethnic, racial, and gender diverse candidates who may present different levels of experience and perspectives. A master’s in fine arts is required for the position, and the successful candidate must have their degree completed no later than June 1, 2023. 

The teaching load is four (4) courses per semester, including introductory and advanced courses in graphic design, as well as courses that satisfy the college’s general education curriculum, known as Ethos.  Candidates with proficiency in interactive design, motion design or animation, and photography are especially encouraged to apply.  The art and design program has close ties to other programs across campus including film and digital media, music production, and marketing and entrepreneurship.  Candidates should demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching, professional development, and institutional service, as well as an understanding of, and appreciation for, the mission of liberal arts institutions.
