LaGrange College seeks to fill a 3-year, non-tenure track appointment (with opportunity for renewal) in our CACREP-accredited graduate program in clinical mental health counseling beginning January 12, 2026 (preferred) or August 1, 2026.
An earned doctorate in Counselor Education or related field with specialization in clinical mental health counseling from a CACREP-accredited institution is required, although outstanding ABD applicants will be considered. The successful candidate who does not hold a terminal degree upon hiring must have completed it prior to the end of their second year in the position. The successful candidate must be license-eligible in the state of Georgia.
The successful candidate will teach courses, supervise practicum students, advise graduate students in the program, and prepare research for professional presentations and publication. Additional teaching assignments may be made based on professional and academic background and the program's needs. Faculty members are expected to make institutional contributions in teaching, leadership, and service. You may be required to provide teaching in a face-to-face, on-line, or a hybrid modality.
Prior experience in teaching, clinical supervision, and CACREP-accreditation coursework are preferred, but not required. Applicants must show evidence of accomplishments or strong potential for success in teaching, scholarship, and professional service. We especially encourage applicants whose teaching, scholarship, and service will contribute to our principles of promoting advocacy, social justice, and professional identification within the program.
