Adjunct Faculty, Criminology – Sociology Program

LaGrange College seeks to fill the following adjunct teaching position in the Sociology program in Spring 2026. The course and course description are listed below, along with the number of course credit hours.

SOCI 3307 Criminology - Criminology examines the nature and impact of crime in the United States. We will focus on the following topics: 1) historical foundations of crime; 2) theoretical perspectives of criminology; 3) characteristics of victims and offenders; 4) different types of crime; and 5) an analysis of policies concerning crime and control. (3 credits)

Preference will be given to those who can teach in person, although applications from remote instructors will be considered. A minimum of a master’s degree in sociology or criminology is required; a Ph.D. in sociology or related field is preferred.
