LaGrange College seeks to fill an adjunct teaching position in materials and processes in engineering in its new manufacturing engineering technology program. The course is expected to be offered in Fall 2026, and the need will be ongoing. The course description and number of credit hours are listed below.
METC 3101 Materials and Processes in Engineering – Processing, microstructure, and property interrelations; heat treatment of steels and alloys; overview of manufacturing processes; interrelations among materials, design and manufacturing; and introduction to material selection. (3 credits)
Preference will be given to those who can teach in person, although applications from remote instructors will be considered. A minimum of a master’s degree in a relevant engineering field is preferred, although those with significant professional experience will be considered.
