Faculty Member and Program Coordinator, Computer Science
LaGrange College seeks to fill a tenure-track appointment as coordinator of our new bachelor’s- and master’s-level computer science programs at the rank of assistant or associate professor of beginning January 1, 2025.
LaGrange College seeks candidates with diverse backgrounds and perspectives. If you embrace our values of excellence, service, diversity, civility, and inclusion, and are committed to modeling those attributes in our community, we encourage you to submit your application for consideration.
An earned doctorate in computer science or related field is preferred, although individuals with a master’s degree in computer science with commensurate professional experience will be considered.
As program coordinator, the successful candidate will work with the chair of the Department of Business and Data Science to continue to develop the master’s- and bachelor’s-level programs. There is an immediate need to teach at the graduate level based on the successful candidate’s area of expertise, supervise practicum students, and advise students in the programs. Teaching at the undergraduate level is also an option. Graduate courses are offered in an online or hybrid modality, and undergraduate courses are offered in person.
Prior experience in teaching is preferred, but not required. Applicants must show evidence of program development in computer science or related field as well as strong potential for success in teaching and service to the institution and to the discipline.

· A diversity statement describing the candidate’s experience with, and advocacy for, diversity, equity, and inclusion activities in the classroom and on campus
· Graduate and undergraduate transcripts (copies are fine at this point)
